Anne Geddes Inspired Cake

When sketching out ideas for Zincia's baby shower cake, the first idea that occurred to me was that the cake had to have something to do with gardening ( because she loves to garden). I went all "Anne Geddes" mode (or at least, I tried to) when designing this cake!

I am loving these electric colors: electric pink, electric blue, and electric purple from Americolor food colors- the perfect colors for spring/ summer!

The "terra cotta pot" is a vanilla cake with chocolate filling decorated with fondant butterflies, gerber daisies, and bumblebees. The "ladybug baby" on top is resting on a fondant leaf and the terra cotta pot is covered in crushed orea cookies "soil"!

This is how the cake looked after I wrote on it...

These are the onesie sugar cookies guest favors that I made
